Biography
Wenwen did her undergraduate study in Fudan University, majoring in Biology. She then came to the US and earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at Princeton University. Working in Dr. Laura Landweber’s lab, her graduate work focused on the function of Piwi-interacting RNAs in the context of ciliate genome rearrangement. Fascinated by small RNAs, she then did her postdoctoral training in David Bartel’s lab at Whitehead Institute/MIT, focusing on microRNA biogenesis.
